Kamikatsu in Tokushima Prefecture has been getting some attention for being a zero-waste town. Everything is used, or repurposed, or recycled. It may be difficult to do what they do to the scale of a larger city, but it is inspiring and significant nonetheless. Maybe there are some good concepts in here that we can better apply to reduce the impact we have on our planet and keep things good for the people who need to live here long after we are gone.
