One of my most favorite aunts, my aunt Alice, would say when talking about traveling the world that cruising is the only way to go. She had been all over the world, but cruising, in her opinion, was “the cat’s pajamas”. I don’t think that we use that kind of expression anymore, but from her it sounded perfect.
For people who are interested in coming to Shikoku in a more dignified, and luxurious fashion, there are a number of ports around the island of Shikoku where cruise ships come to dock. Every prefecture has a deep Japan experience to be had, and it is yours for the taking. So, when considering a cruise to Japan from wherever you start, make sure that your boat comes to the hidden jewel of the country, Shikoku.
It really is the cat’s pajamas of Japan.
