It’s been a good month for Shikoku. The prestigious Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to Professor Manabe Syukuro. An Ehime Prefecture native and professor at Princeton University, Professor Manabe has dedicated his academic career to better understand the relationship between increased levels of carbon dioxide and its relationship with global temperatures. He is the pioneer of the study and definition of “global warming”. He shares this award with Professors Hasselmann and Parisi.
